The Nasarawa State Commissioner for Education, Dr. John D. W. Mamman, on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, visited the Emir’s Palace in Wamba Local Government Area to commiserate with the royal family and the All Progressives Congress (APC) over the passing of the party’s Deputy Chairman, Hon. Aliyu Barde.
Dr. Mamman expressed his sympathy to the Emir of Wamba and the bereaved family, noting that the late party chieftain’s death is a significant loss to the state and the APC.
The condolence visit was part of state-wide expressions of grief following the death of Hon. Yakubu Barde, who passed away earlier the same day.
