The All Progressives Congress (APC) caucus in the Nasarawa State House of Assembly has passed a resounding vote of confidence on Governor Abdullahi Sule for what it described as his remarkable strides in governance and development across the state.
The lawmakers, during a caucus meeting at the Assembly complex in Lafia on Tuesday, also hailed the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Danladi Jatau, and other principal officers for providing inclusive and unifying leadership.
Speaking after the meeting, the Majority Leader, Hon. Suleiman Yakubu Azara (Awe South), said the gathering was aimed at strengthening unity within the APC family and reaffirming support for the governor’s transformative agenda.
“The essence of this meeting is unity and appreciation. We commend His Excellency, Engr. Abdullahi Sule, for the tremendous work he is doing across the state.
During our oversight visits to project sites, we have witnessed firsthand the impressive development,” Azara stated.
He praised Speaker Jatau and the principal officers for fostering harmony in the Assembly, describing their leadership as exemplary and people-focused.
The caucus also appealed to Governor Sule to anoint a successor who will consolidate on his achievements when his tenure ends in 2027.
“We urge His Excellency to present someone who will sustain the legacies he has established in Nasarawa State,” the Majority Leader added.
Azara further urged APC aspirants to play by the rules, stressing that only the candidate chosen by God will emerge, and called on citizens to continue to pray for peace and development.
In a related development, the lawmakers condoled with the state APC over the death of its Deputy Chairman, Hon. Aliyu Barde Yakubu, praying for God’s forgiveness of his shortcomings and for his soul to rest in Aljannatul Firdaus.
