Bauchi State Commissioner of Women Affairs and Child Development, Hajiya Zainab Baban Takko, has been removed from office and as a member of the State Executive Council.
The development was approved by the State Governor, Sen Bala Abdulkadir Muhammad as announced in a statement signed by the Special Adviser to the Governor on Media and Publicity, Comrade Mukhtar Gidado, made available to Journalists in the early hours of Monday.
He wrote, “In that respect, the Hon, Commissioner for Women Affairs & Child Development Hajiya Zainab Baban Takko has been relieved of her appointment with immediate effect.”
Mukhtar Gidado added, “The Governor thank the Commissioner for her services to the State and wishes her success in her future endeavors.”
No reason was given for the action other than, “minor cabinet changes” as stated in the statement
