Governor Mohammed Umar Bago of Niger State has dissolved his cabinet, marking a major shake-up in the state’s governance structure.

The decision was announced on Monday during the State Executive Council meeting held at the Council Chamber, Minna. The governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Bologi Ibrahim, confirmed the development in a statement issued to newsmen.

While thanking members of the dissolved cabinet for their contributions to the growth and development of Niger State, Governor Bago wished them success in their future endeavors.

However, the governor retained his Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Chief of Staff (CoS), Deputy Chief of Staff (DCoS), and other key principal officers in the Government House to ensure continuity in the affairs of the state.

The dissolution is expected to pave the way for the reconstitution of a new cabinet that will drive the next phase of Governor Bago’s administration.
