In a significant political development, the State Public Relations Officer (P.R.O) of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Nasarawa State, Hon. Ibrahim Mohammed Hamza, has formally resigned his membership from the party.
In a resignation letter dated 6th August 2025 and addressed to the Chairman of the PDP in Chiroma Ward, Lafia, Hon. Hamza stated that his decision was based on personal reasons.
He expressed appreciation for the opportunity and experience he gained while serving under the platform of the PDP.
“I am grateful for the experience and connection I have made. However, due to personal reasons, it is time for me to move on. I will no longer participate in party activities or represent the party in any capacity,” the letter reads in part.
While the letter did not disclose his next political move, his resignation marks another key defection within the PDP ranks in Nasarawa State, potentially signaling a shift in the state’s political landscape ahead of the next round of elections.
Observers believe his exit may influence others within the party structure, particularly at the grassroots level.
