The Vice-Chancellor of Nasarawa State University, Keffi (NSUK), Professor Sa’adatu Hassan Liman, has congratulated the Accountant General of the Federation, Mr. Shamseldeen B. Ogunjimi, on the successful defence of his Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) thesis.
Represented by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic), Professor Maikano Muhammad Ari, the Vice-Chancellor conveyed the University’s goodwill when Mr. Ogunjimi, led by the Head of the Department of Accounting, Dr. Musa Naburgi, paid a courtesy visit to the management at the Council Chamber on Friday, August 15, 2025.
Professor Ari hailed the Accountant General’s academic accomplishment as a source of pride to the entire NSUK community, emphasizing that lifelong learning remains the hallmark of true leadership.
He expressed optimism that Mr. Ogunjimi would continue to distinguish himself both in public service and academia as a worthy ambassador of the institution.
“I remain deeply committed to education and to this University that nurtured me. My doors will always remain open to initiatives that will strengthen the growth and advancement of NSUK,” he assured.
The Accountant General was accompanied by a high-powered delegation including Dr. Musa Mohammed, Head of the Department of Accounting; Associate Professor Iyere Simeon; Dr. Musa Hassan; and Dr. Musa Usman Musa, among others.
The event concluded with a group photograph at the University’s Penthouse, symbolizing a memorable moment of academic and professional triumph.
It would be recalled that in May 2025, the Auditor General of the Federation, Mr. Shaaka Kantiyor Chira, also successfully defended his PhD at NSUK—underscoring the institution’s rising profile as a hub for grooming top-ranking public officials.
