The management of Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria pledged to train the Journalists in the area of their needs.
The Vice Chancellor of the institution, Professor Adamu Ahmed Ningi made the pledge when he received members of the Nigeria Union of Journalists Zaria unit led by it's Chairman Mallam Sagir Muhammad Awwal on country visit in his office on Thursday.
He explained that Journalists were playing significant role in national development through information dessemination
The Vice Chancellor described them as friends of the university, also said no administration would do less in cooperating with journalists.
"It's through your objective reportage that the Ahmadu Bello University is known world wide"
Professor Ahmed called on them for objective reportage that would project the image of the University more.
Earlier the Union Chairman told the Vice Chancellor they before him to formerly congratulate him on his emergence as the vice Chancellor of the prestigious University.
Mallam Awwal noted that the Visit was to cement the long existing relationship between his Union and the institution more .
The Chairman urged the University to be organizing for training and retraining for Journalists in order to sharpen their skills.
He there congratulated Staff, Students and the entire university Community for having professor Adamu Ahmed as the Vice Chancellor whom he believed would bring about positive change needed in the institution.
