It was more than just a courtesy call , it was a warm reunion of two seasoned sports administrators and longtime friends.
The Nasarawa State Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Chief Barr. Isaac Danladi, on Wednesday, opened his office doors to welcome Alhaji Zannah Mala Mohammed Kakaje, former Chairman of Elkanemi Warriors FC of Maiduguri and ex-board member of the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL).
The meeting, laced with smiles, handshakes, and shared memories, was described by witnesses as a “great reunion” between two men whose paths have been intertwined through football, leadership, and public service.
Although the discussions behind closed doors remain private, sources close to the duo hinted that the conversation revolved around sports development, youth empowerment, and the need to rekindle the passion for football across communities.
Chief Danladi praised Kakaje’s rich legacy in football management, stating that his decades of experience remain a guiding light for the younger generation of sports leaders.
Kakaje, in turn, commended Danladi for balancing his legal duties with his continued contributions to Nigerian football.
It was a meeting that blended friendship, shared vision, and a mutual desire to see Nigerian sports thrive , a reminder that true partnerships outlive positions.
