4 persons seriously ENJURED when 2 Gas laden tankers have collided and explored on Zaria to Kano Express way on Monday.
An eye witness told Blueprint that no death recorded but Victims where to Ahmadu Bello University Teaching, Zaria for medical attention.
Confirming the incident, Nasir Abdullahi Falgore, Unit Commander, Zaria Unit command said one of the tankers was laden with LNG gas and the other was empty.
He said the accident occurred around 8,30 am on Monday morning.
Aminu Ahmadu Kiyawa, Area Commander, Federal Fire Service, Zaria said after receiving distress call from somebody, his men rushed to the scene of the incident.
According to him, three people were injured as a result of the explosion from the gas-laden tanker and one person was evacuated from the other tanker.
"The four injured person who were burnt were quickly rushed to the ABU teaching hospital Shika for medical treatment." He said.
Kiyawa however debunked involvement of gulf or any other car in the incident."When we arrived at the scene it was only the two tankers involved in the accident. There was no any small car involved.
"According to the preliminary report we gathered the gas-laden tanker was following the empty fuel tanker from the rear when the front truck had a punctured tire thereby hit from the rear by the loaded vehicle." He explained
