In a major boost to Nigeria’s small and medium enterprises (SMEs), Fidelity Bank Plc has launched an innovative initiative that will provide 100 selected businesses with fully integrated business management systems,free of charge.
The initiative, unveiled at the Fidelity SME Empowerment Program 2025 held at the bank’s SME Hub in Gbagada, Lagos, is part of the bank’s ongoing commitment to promoting entrepreneurship and accelerating digital adoption among Nigerian SMEs.
Representing the Managing Director/CEO of Fidelity Bank, Dr. Nneka Onyeali-Ikpe, at the event was Mr. Stanley Amuchie, Executive Director/Chief Operations and Information Officer. He emphasized the bank’s strategic vision for empowering SMEs with modern tools for sustainable growth:

What Beneficiaries Will Receive
Each of the 100 SMEs selected for the program will benefit from a comprehensive digital upgrade package that includes:
A desktop POS system with ERPRev functionality
Receipt printer and barcode scanner
ERPRev business management software
Initial inventory data input and setup
Bookkeeping and financial management training
Branding and onboarding support
Six-month post-installation business monitoring
Fidelity POS machine with instant settlement feature
The three-day empowerment program also features expert-led workshops, intensive masterclasses, and networking opportunities to foster market expansion and business collaboration.
Addressing a Critical Need
Recent data from the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) reveals that SMEs make up 96% of Nigerian businesses, employ over 80% of the labor force, and contribute nearly 50% of the national GDP.
However, many still operate with outdated systems that hinder efficiency, profitability, and access to finance.
Speaking on behalf of Manmark, Fidelity’s strategic partner in the project, Mrs. Adaonah Kene-Uyawaune, emphasized the significance of the ERPRev platform:
