Reaffirms Ministry’s Commitment to Strengthening Technical Education

The Nasarawa State Commissioner for Education, Dr. John D.W. Mamman, on Monday received in audience the Chairman and Members of the Governing Council of Isa Mustapha Agwai I Polytechnic, Lafia, who were on a familiarization visit to the Ministry of Education headquarters in Lafia.
During the official engagement, Dr. Mamman expressed delight over the visit and commended the council for demonstrating commitment and readiness to reposition the institution for excellence.
“Your visit is timely and speaks volumes about your leadership style. The Isa Mustapha Agwai I Polytechnic remains a critical pillar in our quest to reposition technical and vocational education in Nasarawa State,” the Commissioner said.
He assured the council of the ministry’s unflinching support in aligning the institution's programs and priorities with the state government’s development agenda under Governor Abdullahi A. Sule.
Earlier in his address, the Chairman of the Governing Council thanked the Commissioner for the warm reception and emphasized the council’s desire to work hand-in-hand with the ministry to deliver on its mandate.
“We are here to formally introduce ourselves and open channels of collaboration with the ministry. We believe that together we can move the institution to greater heights,” he stated.
The visit also offered an opportunity for both parties to deliberate on key issues affecting the institution, including infrastructure development, staff welfare, academic quality, and strategies for improving technical education in the state.
The meeting was attended by senior officials of the Ministry of Education, management staff of the polytechnic, and other key stakeholders in the education sector.
