In an era where commitment, integrity, and excellence in public service are rare, Abdullahi Abuh Galadima stands out as a shining beacon in the field of education. 

A veteran teacher, administrator, and mentor, Galadima has spent over four decades shaping the future of science education in Nasarawa State and beyond.

Born on February 25, 1955, in Kwandare, Lafia Local Government Area of Nasarawa State, Galadima’s educational journey began with a Teachers Grade II Certificate in 1975. 

He went on to obtain a National Certificate in Education (NCE) in 1980, a Bachelor of Education in Biology in 1986, and a Master’s Degree in Education (Science) in 1994, a steady progression that reflects not only his love for knowledge but also a deep commitment to academic excellence.

Having received training from top institutions like the University of Jos, Galadima returned to his roots and invested his entire professional life in nurturing students, reforming institutions, and building human capacity in Nasarawa State. 

His teaching career began in 1975 under Lafia LGEA, where he served as a Primary School Teacher until 1980. 

He then served as Education Secretary in Lafia, Akwanga, and Awe Local Government Education Authorities from 1981 to 1989, where he played a pivotal role in grassroots educational administration.

From 1989 to 2019, he rose through the ranks at the College of Agriculture, Lafia, ultimately retiring as a Principal Lecturer in the Department of Basic Science.

 He was known for his clarity of vision, curriculum expertise, and unshakable dedication to student mentorship.

He also served with distinction as the Executive Chairman of the Nasarawa State Teachers’ Service Commission, where he left behind an excellent legacy of reforms, professionalism, and institutional development that continues to benefit the state’s educational workforce.

A Man of Values, Vision, and Service

Mr. Galadima is widely recognized for his leadership roles, including serving as Dean, School of Sciences and General Studies (2011–2015), and as Administrator of Lafia North Development Area, Shabu, where he contributed to rural development and educational infrastructure.

He has also been actively involved in institutional management as a member of the Academic Board, the Employment & Promotion Committee, and the Management Advisory Committee at the College of Agriculture, Lafia.

As a respected community figure, he has served as Chairman, Ward Elders’ Consultative Forum, Chairman, Community-Based Development Area in Shabu, and Facilitator of the PGDE Programme at the National Teachers’ Institute (Kaduna Study Centre) since 2005.
