In a bold effort to fast-track sustainable economic growth in Nasarawa State, Baba Consulting Limited has launched two major investment initiatives focused on the agriculture and mining sectors.
The announcement was made in collaboration with Hon. Princess Zhiwomi Philip Iyakwari, former Special Assistant to the Governor, Engr. Abdullahi A. Sule, on Environment and Natural Resources.
The agriculture initiative features a three-year pilot program in mechanization services, backed by an initial capital of $100,000, with $20,000 already deployed. The project seeks to validate a scalable service model capable of unlocking $1 million in follow-on investments within five years and up to $10 million by the tenth year.
A parallel investment in the mining sector is also underway. While still in its early design phase, the mining initiative is modeled after a similar phased funding structure aimed at attracting both domestic and international investors.
Duza Baba, Principal Consultant of Baba Consulting, reiterated the company’s dedication to inclusive development.

The announcement was made during an event held at the Aliyu Akwe Doma Banquet Hall, Government House, Lafia. Baba Consulting also expressed its willingness to collaborate with the Nasarawa Investment and Development Agency (NASIDA), other government bodies, private sector partners, and academic institutions to build a competitive, opportunity-rich economy in the state.
As part of efforts to uplift Nasarawa State through global connections, the event coincided with the 2025 Annual Convention of the Zumunta Association, a prominent diaspora organization that represents the 19 northern states of Nigeria.
Reflecting on the convention, stakeholders noted the historic role of Zumunta Association since its founding in 1994, aimed at serving as a unified voice for Black Africans in the diaspora.
