The Paramount Ruler of Karu in Nasarawa State, Pharm. Luka Baba Panya Esu Karu, has commended Governor Abdullahi Sule for appointing two distinguished sons of the Gbagi Nation into key positions in his administration.

The royal father gave the commendation when he led a high-powered delegation of Gbagi sons and daughters on a thank-you courtesy visit to Governor Sule at the Government House, Lafia.

Pharm. Luka Baba Panya praised the Governor for the appointment of Barr. Isaac Danladi as the Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, and Dr. Gaza Gomna as the Commissioner for Health, who also doubles as Deputy Chairman of Karu Local Government Area. He described the gesture as a clear sign of Governor Sule’s inclusive leadership and recognition of merit.

The monarch also lauded the Governor for appointing yet another son of Gbagi Nation as the Acting Auditor General of Nasarawa State, further demonstrating the administration’s trust in the capacity and integrity of the Gbagi people.

In a passionate appeal, Pharm. Baba Panya urged Governor Sule to consider the upgrade of one of the traditional stools within the Gbagi Nation from third-class to second-class status, noting that peers of the said chief have already been elevated to first-class status. He described the upgrade as both timely and just.

The delegation included top Gbagi stakeholders such as:

Barr. Isaac Danladi, Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice

Members of the Federal and State Assemblies

APC State Secretary, Mr. Yarus Dagus

Mrs. I. Yakwari

Current and former public servants, politicians, and community leaders from Gbagi extraction

In his response, Governor Abdullahi Sule expressed gratitude for the visit and the show of unity and appreciation.

He reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to equity and inclusiveness and assured the delegation that their requests would receive due attention.

The event was also highlighted by colorful cultural displays by Gbagi traditional dancers and expressions of solidarity across political lines.
