Gbagi Leaders, Attorney General Join Traditional Ruler on ‘Thank You’ Visit to Governor Sule

Prominent sons and daughters of the Gbagi nation, led by the traditional ruler of Karu, Pharm. Luka Baba Panya Esu Karu, paid a courtesy visit to Nasarawa State Governor, Engr. Abdullahi Sule, at the Aliyu Akwe Doma Banquet Hall, Government House, Lafia.

The visit, described as a “thank you and appreciation visit,” featured a colorful display of Gbagi cultural dancers, adding vibrancy and cultural pride to the occasion.

 The delegation included present and past government officials of Gbagi extraction, showcasing the community’s solidarity and appreciation for the governor’s inclusive governance.

The paramount ruler of Karu, Pharm. Luka Baba Panya Esu Karu, expressed deep gratitude to Governor Sule for the numerous developmental projects in Karu and for the political inclusion of Gbagi sons and daughters in key government positions.

“This gathering is not political it is one of gratitude. We have come to sincerely thank His Excellency for his leadership, inclusion, and commitment to the development of our land,” the royal father said.

Governor Abdullahi Sule, while responding, welcomed the Gbagi delegation warmly and expressed appreciation for their unity and support. 

He acknowledged Karu’s growing importance as one of the fastest-developing local government areas in the country and assured that his administration remains committed to balanced development across all regions.

Among the dignitaries present were the Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Barr. Isaac Danladi; Commissioner for Health, Dr. Gaza Gwamna; former Secretary to the State Government, Mr. Philip Dada; Deputy Chairman of Karu Local Government Area; federal and state lawmakers; and several other stakeholders from the Gbagi community.

Although Barr. Isaac Danladi did not address the gathering, his presence as with other key figures underscored the significance of the visit and the Gbagi nation’s united front in support of the governor’s administration.

The event served as a reaffirmation of the Gbagi community’s commitment to peace, unity, and continued collaboration with the government of Nasarawa State.
