Governor Abdullahi A. Sule of Nasarawa State has reiterated his administration’s commitment to educational development as he witnessed the formal signing of a concession agreement between Nasarawa State University, Keffi (NSUK) and Advent Integrated Services Limited for the construction of a 4,000-bed student hostel on campus.

The concession, structured as a Public-Private Partnership (PPP), targets the growing student accommodation needs in the institution, with the first phase delivering 1,500 bed spaces. Governor Sule described the project as a milestone in his administration’s ongoing reforms to improve tertiary education infrastructure across the state.

The agreement was officially presented by the State Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Barr. Isaac Danladi, who  confirmed that the legal instrument had been duly vetted and authenticated by the Ministry of Justice before the official signing ceremony.

Also present at the occasion were the Secretary to the State Government, Dr. Labaran Magaji, and the Commissioner for Education, Dr. John Maman, who lauded the project as a game-changer for student welfare and academic excellence.

The 4,000-bed hostel project is expected to not only ease accommodation challenges but also stimulate private sector involvement in Nasarawa’s educational sector.
