The 2025 Bar Week celebrations of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Lafia Branch, kicked off on a vibrant note as the Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice of Nasarawa State, Barr. Isaac Danladi, led a health walk on Saturday morning.
The exercise saw the active participation of top legal luminaries, including the Secretary to the Government of Nasarawa State, Dr. Labaran Shuaibu Magaji, a distinguished legal practitioner with decades of experience in public service.
Also in attendance were notable lawyers such as former State Executive Council member, Barr. Abubakar Zanwa, and renowned human rights advocate, Barr. Ayiwulu Baba Ayiwulu.
The week-long Bar Week festivities commenced on Friday, May 23, with a solemn Jumaat prayer held at the Secretariat Mosque in Lafia, led by the Grand Khadi of the Nasarawa State Sharia Court of Appeal, Hon. Justice Yusuf Abubakar Bahago.
Activities lined up to commemorate the 2025 Bar Week include a Sunday worship service at Dunamis International Gospel Center on May 25, a public lecture and interactive session at the TAAL Conference Hotel on May 26 at 9:00 am, and a grand Bar Dinner in honor of Dr. Labaran Shuaibu Magaji, scheduled for 4:00 pm the same day, with His Excellency, Governor Abdullahi Sule, serving as Chairman of the occasion.
The week promises to be a reflective and engaging period for legal minds across Nasarawa State, celebrating both professional excellence and the spirit of community.
