Senator I. D. Gyang is saddened by the unfortunate inferno that gutted shops at the temporary Jos main market  on Tuesday night 29/4/25, occasioning huge economic loss to individuals, families, and the state.

Senator Gyang empathizes with the victims who incurred monumental financial loss and recommends a specialist intervention by the government to mitigate the stress and shock on the affected traders.

Senator Gyang says the ugly incident  also brings to the fore the need for the state government to optimise the preparedness of the state Fire Service as a first responder for a timeous, effective, and efficacious response to emergency situations.
