Former Manchester United striker, Louis Saha, has expressed his agreement with Cristiano Ronaldo’s past remarks about the club’s need for a major rebuild.
Speaking in a recent interview, Saha highlighted that Ronaldo’s comments from two years ago were pivotal in sparking the changes at Old Trafford.
“Cristiano Ronaldo was right when he said Manchester United needed to rebuild everything,” Saha said. “Look at the changes now—talk of a new stadium, improvements to the training ground—these are signs of progress.”
Saha also emphasized that the club’s intimidating presence on the field has diminished over the years and that restoring Manchester United’s legacy begins with rebuilding its infrastructure.
“Opponents used to fear us,” he added.
“The first step to regaining that dominance is through rebuilding the club, both physically and mentally, to feel like the Manchester United of old.”
The Frenchman also pointed out that the club has started listening to figures from Sir Alex Ferguson’s era, including the likes of Ronaldo, Rio Ferdinand, Ryan Giggs, and Paul Scholes, whose experience can help guide United back to its winning ways.
"What Ronaldo and Rio mentioned is the essence of how the club used to be, and it’s essential to bring that confidence back," Saha remarked.
His comments come amid ongoing discussions about Manchester United's future, particularly in light of rumors surrounding the construction of a new stadium and revamping the training facilities.
