Sports: Lobi Stars FC Board Vows Dominance in Upcoming Soccer Competitions

The Board members of Lobi Stars Football Club (FC) have assured the team would come top of all soccer competitions henceforth.

This is contained in a statement signed by the Director of Media of the club, Mr Emmanuel Uja and issued on Thursday in Makurdi.

According to the statement, the board gave the assurance during an emergency board meeting. 

Uja further said that the board reaffirmed her unwavering commitment to the future of the club, stressing that with the support of Gov. Hyacinth Alia, the club would go places.

He added that the board pledged to provide steadfast support to the technical team, vowing not to interfere in their operations to maintain focus and clarity. 

"In a bold move, they set a clear target for the Head Coach, challenging him to win the next five matches, an achievement that will secure the club’s chances for continental engagements," Uja said. 

He said that the board pledged to prioritize the welfare of both players and officials with a promise to clear the outstanding salary arrears, ensuring a motivated and dedicated team. 

He said that the board further pledged to recruit a Sports Psychologist to enhance the team’s mental resilience and on-field focus.

The coach, Eugene Agagbe,  promised to give his all to ensure that the team live up to expectations, stressing that he had embraced the challenge with optimism and determination.

Highlight of the meeting, Mr James Iorpuu, the Executive Secretary of the State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA) and a member of the board, made a generous donation of 50 bags of 25kg of rice to the players and officials.
