The Rivers State Government has announced the immediate suspension of Hon. Barrister Otonye Briggs, Chairman of the Caretaker Committee (CTC) of Akuku-Toru Local Government Area.
In a statement issued by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Nelson Chukwudi, the Governor directed Hon. Bitebobo Nelson Amieye to assume the position of CTC Chairman immediately.
Barrister Otonye Briggs has been instructed to hand over all council property in his possession to the new Chairman.
