From Suleiman Abubakar
In a strategic effort to enhance the visibility and activities of the Nasarawa State Health Insurance Agency (NASHIA), the Executive Secretary, Dr. Yahaya Bawa Ubam, has initiated a close partnership with media practitioners across the state.
During an interview with our correspondent in Lafia, Dr. Ubam emphasized the significance of media collaboration in disseminating vital information to both urban and rural populations.
He highlighted the crucial role media plays in creating awareness and encouraging people to enroll in the state's healthcare insurance scheme.
Dr. Ubam revealed that a recent agency-conducted research showed that approximately 80% of respondents were either unaware of the agency's services or, even when aware, lacked knowledge on the steps to take when facing challenges.
He stressed that enrolling in the scheme provides clear guidelines on how to address any issues that may arise, urging enrollees to keep a copy of these guidelines.
He called on the media and other relevant stakeholders to support NASHIA in spreading information about the agency's services.
