The united Nations Development Fund has granted the Kaduna State based Bee Farming experts under auspice of Beekeeping Extension Society, Giwa Local Government Area of Kaduna State 1% of $10,000 to train at least 200 local community in Shika of Giwa Local Government effective on 31st of this month.
The Secretary of the Society, Mal Umar Faruk Idris has said in an interview with Journalists in Zaria on Thursday.
He said the Society would train at least 200 Locals mostly Youth Women who drawn from the Community on modern Beekeeping techniques.
Mal Faruk Idris explained that the beneficiaries will be tought Bee management aspect from the start to finish, adding that already his Society and National Animal Production Research Institute (NAPRI) are partners in progress.
The Secretary further Stated that the Institute had supported them land to Hives.
"A UK based Beekeeping and Agribussiness value Chain expert, Mr Chris Grace would take off the Homey in order to market the project as a consultant" Idris said.
