The Chairman of the House of Representatives Committee on Interior, Hon. Abdullahi Aliyu Ahmad, is set to be honored with the prestigious chieftaincy title of ‘Dujuman Katsina’ by the Katsina Emirate Council.
The turbaning ceremony will take place on Saturday, September 21, 2024, at the Emir’s Palace in Katsina.
In a statement released by Sardauna Francis, the Special Assistant on Media to the lawmaker, it was revealed that the Emir of Katsina, Dr. Abdulmumini Kabir Usman, CFR, will confer the title on Ahmad in recognition of his significant contributions to the socio-economic and infrastructural development of Musawa/Matazu Federal Constituency and Katsina State at large.
The event, scheduled for 10:00 a.m., is expected to be attended by a host of dignitaries, including state governors, ministers, legislators, diplomats, and captains of industry.
The ceremony will feature a grand Durbar of Horse Riders, adding color and grandeur to the occasion.
Abdullahi Aliyu Ahmad, born in Musawa Local Government Area in 1975, has a rich history of public service and entrepreneurship.
He has held various positions in both public and private sectors, including serving as the General Manager of D Radda Ventures Nigeria Limited and as the Personal Assistant to Dr. Dikko Umaru Radda, the former Director-General of SMEDAN.
Ahmad’s election to the House of Representatives in 2023 on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) was a testament to his dedication and service to his constituents.
