The Nigeria Basketball Federation (NBBF) has announced the roster of 16 players invited to the second phase of its training camp in Saarbrucken, Germany. This announcement was made by the NBBF Secretary-General, Peter Njoku.
The invited players include prominent names such as Amy Okonkwo, Elizabeth Balogun, Promise Amukamara, Tomi Taiwo, Pallas Kunaiyi-Akpanah, Lauren Ebo, Blessing Ejiofor, Rita Igbokwe, Lucy Ibeh, and Nicole Enabosi.
Ezinne Kalu, Adebola Adeyeye, Solape Amusan, Christeen Iwuala, Murjanatu Musa, and Ifunaya Okoro, who impressed during the first phase of the camp in Abuja, are also included in the squad.
Unfortunately, the team will be without its captain, Sarah Ogoke, due to personal reasons.
D'Tigress, coached by Rena Wakama, will play several friendly matches as part of their preparation for the Paris Olympic Games. They are scheduled to face Germany in Berlin on July 19, Serbia in Belgrade on July 21, and Japan in Lille, France, on July 24.
Supporting the team are assistant coaches Abi Olajuwon and Wani Muganguzi, player development coach Aisha Mohammed, and general manager Musa Adamu.
