President Bola Tinubu has approved the appointment of Mr. Silas Agara as the new Director-General of the National Directorate of Employment (NDE).

Mr. Agara, an entrepreneur and sports administrator, previously served as the Deputy Governor of Nasarawa State. His extensive experience and dedication to public service make him a fitting choice for this crucial role.

The President anticipates an overhaul of the NDE to ensure optimal performance in designing and implementing programs aimed at combating mass unemployment. This strategic appointment underscores President Tinubu's commitment to addressing the unemployment challenges facing Nigeria and fostering economic growth.

The Special Adviser to the President on Media & Publicity, Chief Ajuri Ngelale, emphasized that the administration is confident in Mr. Agara's ability to lead the NDE effectively and bring about significant improvements in employment opportunities for Nigerians.
