The Evangelical Church Winning All (ECWA) GoodNews GRA in Lafia was filled to capacity as family, friends, and well-wishers gathered to thank God for the recovery of Dr. Nawani Aboki, Special Adviser to Governor Abdullahi Sule on Media and Publicity, following a major surgery. The event also marked Dr. Aboki's 63rd birthday celebration.
In his sermon titled "Who is My Neighbor?", Reverend Joshua Tuwan emphasized the importance of gratitude to God despite the nation's challenges with insecurity and hunger.
He urged Christians to foster neighborliness, transcending religious, regional, and political differences to combat these issues. Reverend Tuwan called on Nigerians to respect, support, and love their neighbors for peace and national development, highlighting the need to treat everyone as family, particularly the less privileged.
Reverend Tuwan also commended Dr. Aboki for his humanitarian efforts in Nasarawa State, encouraging him to continue his contributions to the state's development. Drawing from Luke 10:31-32, he stressed the importance of strong relationships with neighbors.
Dr. Nawani Aboki expressed his gratitude to God for his recovery after spending over two weeks in the hospital. He also thanked his family, friends, and well-wishers for their support and prayers.
Dr. Aboki urged residents to remain hopeful and supportive of Governor Abdullahi Sule's initiatives aimed at improving their living standards. He also called on wealthy individuals and NGOs to support the needy in line with the governor's agenda.
Justice Simon Aboki, speaking at the event, emphasized the family's gratitude for Dr. Nawani's recovery and the importance of the thanksgiving service.
