The National Universities Commission (NUC) has accredited the Bachelor of Nursing Science programme at Novena University, Ogume, signifying the high quality of the university's facilities and academic staff.
The full accreditation status was officially communicated in a letter from the NUC dated June 6, 2024, signed by Engr. Abraham Chundusu, Director of Accreditation, on behalf of the Executive Secretary.
This accreditation follows a successful evaluation conducted by the NUC.
Professor Godwin Nduka, the Vice-Chancellor of Novena University, hailed the achievement as a testament to the dedication and excellence of the Nursing Department and the College of Medical and Health Sciences, led by Provost Professor Ofili Charles.
He also acknowledged the recent accreditation of the university's Medicine programme by the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN), which praised Novena University for its outstanding facilities and faculty.
The university community, including staff and students, expressed their joy and satisfaction at this significant milestone. Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of the Governing Council, Chuks Ochonogor, reaffirmed Novena University's commitment to providing top-tier education and training, emphasizing the continued support from His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Francis Oborevwori, in fostering an enabling environment for education and other sectors.
