2027: Nasarawa Speaker Gains Massive Grassroots Support for Reps Bid Ahead of APC Primaries
Achievements Visible, Verifiable — Jatau Assures More Democratic Dividends, Donates Car, Cash to Supporters

The Speaker of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Danladi Jatau, has continued to garner widespread grassroots support for his aspiration to represent Keffi/Karu/Kokona Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives ahead of the forthcoming APC primary elections.
The Speaker, who represents Kokona West Constituency on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has intensified consultations with critical stakeholders, party executives, traditional rulers, community leaders and supporters across the constituency in a bid to actualise his ambition for the Green Chamber in 2027.
Dr. Jatau, widely regarded as a grassroots politician, has in recent weeks embarked on extensive consultations across the Nasarawa West zone, assuring the people of inclusive leadership, quality representation and more dividends of democracy if elected into the National Assembly.
Speaking during an interaction with APC zonal officials in Keffi Local Government Area, the Speaker said his achievements as Speaker and lawmaker remain visible and verifiable across different sectors.
According to him, he has continued to initiate people-oriented projects and programmes aimed at improving the living conditions of the people through empowerment, employment opportunities, healthcare support, educational interventions and agricultural development.
“I have done my best in the areas of legislation, promotion of peace and unity as well as empowerment of the people. My achievements are visible and verifiable.
“By the grace of God, if elected into the Green Chamber, I will attract more federal projects and ensure accelerated development across Keffi, Karu and Kokona Federal Constituency,” he stated.
The Speaker appealed to party stakeholders and delegates to support his aspiration during the APC primary election, pledging to sustain his developmental strides and provide purposeful representation.
The consultation meetings formed part of a series of political engagements undertaken by the Speaker across the zone during the week.
Aside from meeting APC zonal officials in Keffi, Dr. Jatau also held separate consultations with APC leadership in Karu Local Government Area, where party stakeholders reportedly endorsed his aspiration unanimously.
He also paid a courtesy visit to the Executive Chairman of Karu Local Government, Abubakar Aliyu Madaki, and visited the palace of the Village Head of Aso Pada as part of efforts to seek wider support for his ambition.
Earlier, the Nasarawa West APC Zonal Chairman, Isaiah Agah, commended the Speaker for what he described as outstanding leadership and impactful representation.
Agah assured the Speaker of the continued support, loyalty and prayers of party stakeholders across the zone toward the realization of his House of Representatives ambition.
Several stakeholders and party faithful who spoke during the engagements described Dr. Jatau as a humble, accessible and loyal party leader committed to the growth of the APC and development of the constituency.
As part of the consultations, the Speaker donated over N3 million to various support groups and also presented a brand new vehicle to Hajiya Fati Door-to-Door, the APC State Treasurer in Karu Local Government Area.
