Supreme Court Judgment: Shehu Gabam Resumes as Authentic SDP National Chairman
Nasarawa SDP Chairman, NWC Members Accompany Party Leader to National Secretariat in Abuja
The National Chairman of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), Shehu Musa Gabam, on Thursday officially resumed duties at the party’s national headquarters in Abuja following the Supreme Court judgment affirming him as the authentic national chairman of the party.
Shehu Gabam was accompanied by members of the party’s National Executive Working Committee (NWC), including the Nasarawa State Chairman of the SDP, Danlami Mohammed Musa, during the visit to the national secretariat.
The development was greeted with jubilation by party supporters and stakeholders who described the apex court ruling as a victory for internal democracy and the rule of law within the party.
Party officials said the judgment has finally laid to rest the leadership dispute within the SDP, paving the way for unity, reconciliation, and repositioning of the party ahead of future political activities.
Speaking shortly after assuming office, party leaders reiterated their commitment to strengthening the SDP structure across the federation and ensuring inclusive leadership capable of advancing the party’s vision and electoral fortunes.
Supporters at the party headquarters expressed optimism that the leadership of Shehu Gabam would usher in a new era of stability, growth, and national relevance for the Social Democratic Party.
