Mohammed Adamu Omadefu, the member representing Keana Constituency in the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, has condemned the recent killings of farmers in his constituency.
In a Facebook post, Omadefu expressed his sorrow over the incident, where innocent farmers were attacked and killed by unknown terrorists. He stated,
"I condemn in total the lingering killings of innocent souls of Keana Sons who are genuine farmers to earn a living but were shot by unknown terrorists in their farms yesterday. This act of carnage is worrisome and stands condemned."
Omadefu extended his condolences to the affected families and assured his constituents that security forces are actively working to apprehend the perpetrators and restore peace.
"While I commiserate with the families of those who were affected, securities are on top of the situation to fetch out the perpetrators and bring normalcy to my dear constituency. May the soul of the departed (Musa) rest in peace.
And for those receiving treatment, on behalf of myself and the entire constituents, we pray for a quick recovery," he added.
The incident has raised concerns about the safety of farmers in the area, with calls for increased security measures to protect lives and livelihoods.
