In a recent program with Channels Television, Governor Andullahi Sule of Nasarawa State made a firm commitment to fully implement the new minimum wage, including arrears from May.
The governor reassured workers that the state government is prepared to meet the new wage demands and has been strategically saving to ensure timely payment.
"I am ready to pay any amount agreed upon as the new minimum wage, even with arrears from May," Governor Sule declared. "We have been saving towards this, and Nasarawa will be the first state to pay the arrears."
