Bauchi State Governor, Sen Bala Abdulkadir Muhammad said the project is aims to modernize and rebrand veterinary clinics and abattoirs, boosting the state’s economy and transforming businesses, assured them of his total support for ensuring the peaceful actualization of the projects.
Muhammàd was speaking when he inaugurated a steering committee for the Bauchi State Committee on World Bank-assisted project, Livestock Productivity and Resilience Support project (L-PRES applauded the World Bank and the Federal Government for selecting Bauchi as a beneficiary state and pledged his support for the project’s success.
Senator Bala Muhammad expressed his administration’s commitment to collaborating with local and foreign investors and development partners for the benefit of the citizens.
The development, according to him, will significantly increase the value and worth of the state and its residents in terms of food production and food security.
The governor added that the transformation has been carried out to attract investors, donor agencies, and development partners both within and outside the country.
He assured that land has been acquired for the construction of a modern Veterinary Clinic at Ran road to further facilitate the actualization of the project.
He added that with genuine commitment to the rehabilitation of all abattoirs across the state, the government is ready for the full implementation of the project to people’s advantage.
Bala Muhammad noted further that the gesture is in tandem with his administration’s agricultural framework, charging the Committee members to justify the confidence reposed in them.
Prof. Simon Madugu Yalams, the Chairman of the Committee and also the Commissioner of Agriculture in Bauchi State, commended Governor Bala Abdulkadir Muhammàd for his foresight and zeal to transform the agricultural sector of the state and his assurance toward the successful implementation of the projects.
According to him, the state government has made a lot of efforts towards transforming the agricultural sector from being a way of life for the people to a business that will enhance the earning capacity of the teaming farming families in the state.
Other members of the committee include the State Commissioner of Budget and Economic Planning and Multilateral Coordination, Aminu Hammayo; the Governor’s Principal Private Secretary, Pharmacist Samaila Adamu Burga; Commissioner of Finance, Dr Yakubu Adamu; among others from the State and Federal Ministry of Agriculture as Members
