Nasaarawa State House of Assembly, has received report of the Joint committee on Information/Housing  and Environment on A Bill for a Law to Make Provision for Right of Way in Nasarawa State and for Other Matters Connected There to.

Rt. Hon. Danladi Jatau, the Speaker of the House received the report after the Chairman of the joint  committee, Hon. Jonah Ali Dizaho presented the committee report during the House proceedings today in Lafia.

The Speaker said that the bill if passed would regulate mounting of masks and laying of optic fibres (cables) in the State.

The Speaker, then slated 20th of May, 2024 for deliberation of the joint committee's report.

Earlier, Hon Jonah Ali Dizaho, the Chairman of the Joint Committee while presenting its report said that the bill if passed would also boost the  revenue base of the State.

Hon. Jonah said that the bill is all to give legal permission to individual by the government to utilize their lands. 

"Especially by telecommunication as well as MDAs to utilize their lands for investment and other purposes" He said 

He appreciated the Speaker and Hon. members for the confidence reposed on the committee to carried out the assignment.
