Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State has expressed condolences to the people of Agwashi in Ekye Development Area, Doma, and Keana Local Government Areas following a recent windstorm that caused extensive damage to several houses and resulted in the loss of one life.
In a press statement signed by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Dr. Nawani Aboki, copy made available to, Rimawaglobalnews in Lafia.
Governor Sule acknowledged the destructive power of nature and extended his deepest sympathies to the affected families across the state.
The statement further revealed that the Acting Governor and Deputy Governor of Nasarawa State, Dr. Emmanuel Akabe, along with the Commissioner of the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Special Duties, Margaret Elayo, visited some of the affected communities to assess their needs and compile a list of required relief materials to mitigate the impact of the windstorm.
Governor Sule assured the affected communities of his administration's commitment to supporting them in rebuilding their lives, urging them to view the windstorm as an act of nature.
The governor's statement underscores the government's proactive response to the crisis, signaling a determination to provide necessary assistance to those affected by the disaster.
