As Christians all over the world celebrate and reflect on the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ to mark Easter, Hajia Asmau Sulayman-Adeyemi has urged Christendom to remain hopeful and positive for a greater Nigeria.
In her Easter message, the Director-General Aspirant, Amalgamated APC Support Groups-AASG, said the season should be celebrated in an atmosphere of love, solitude, hope, sacrifice, and positive expectations.
She said, "I believe as Christians do, this is the most important event in the salvation of mankind - the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ - therefore, we are reminded to reflect now and always on the route taken to secure our salvation by Jesus Christ; the celebration of Easter should remind us of His everlasting love, how Christ gave his very life for humanity because of love, which is the greatest sacrifice to fulfill His uncommon love for mankind."
"As we reflect soberly on Christ's redemptive sacrifice for mankind, let us embody the essence of patriotism and sacrifice for our nation as Christ did. Let's rededicate ourselves to the cause of advancing our dear nation by participating in democratic processes, promoting good governance, and upholding the rule of law for us to achieve our shared goals of progress and prosperity for all as championed by His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, in his RENEWED HOPE mantra.
Christ's crucifixion, death, burial, and resurrection should inspire hope in us, however great the challenges before us as a nation.
As we celebrate this Easter, let every one of us follow the virtues of Christ by sacrificing our time to pray for the peace, progress, and prosperity of our dear country, Nigeria.
