Bauchi State Governor, Bala Abdulkadir Muhammad has distributed food items as Ramadan gifts to working Journalists, Media Organizations and members of various forms of Social Media groups across the state.
The donated food items includes 400 bags of 25kg of rice, 400 bags of 25 kg of Millet, 400 bags of Maize of 25kg and 170 bags of 50kg of Sugar
Presenting the gesture on behalf of the Governor, Senior special Adviser Media and Publicity to the Governor Comrade Mukhtar Muhammad Gidado Jarman Aalkaleri said the move is part of appreciation to segments for their various contributions toward propagating project the State’s policies and programs in positive manner.
Comrade Gidado added that it has become a tradition of the Governor to engage with the media and related family especially during festive periods and urged members of the benefiting segments to kindly accept the gift as a gesture aimed at strengthening partnership with journalists in the state.
NUJ State Chairman Comrade Umar Sa’id who was represented by Malam Isyaka Isma’il Wunti from Radio Nigeria Globe FM, Bauçhi expressed gratitude to the state government for the gesture, saying the gift will go a long way in cushioning the effects of hardship being experienced by the people.
