Troops of the Nigerian Army, operating in Kaduna State, have achieved significant gains in the fight against insurgents. In a recent series of operations in the Igabi, Giwa, and Birnin Gwari Local Government Areas, troops neutralized insurgents and recovered a cache of arms and ammunition. During a fierce firefight along the Maganda-Dausayi - Mugaba axis, troops successfully neutralized two insurgents and seized weapons including an AK 47 rifle, ammunition, and narcotics. Additionally, in a separate operation along the Kaduna - Birnin Gwari Road, troops ambushed and neutralized six insurgents, recovering more weapons and destroying motorcycles used by the insurgents. Intelligence suggests that notorious bandit kingpins, including Boderi, responsible for high-profile kidnappings, were among those killed in the ambush. The Nigerian Army urges continued cooperation from the public in the ongoing fight against terrorism and insurgency.
