The Kebbi State Government has donated twenty million naira in cash to victims of the Argungu Central Market fire outbreak.
Governor Nasir Idris has ordered the immediate disbursement of monetary relief assistance to mitigate the victims' suffering and enable them to restart their businesses.

Representing the Governor, State Deputy Governor Senator Umar Abubakar Tafida flagged off the disbursement exercise at the Emir of Argungu's Palace. During the event, two traders, Tijjani Badukku and Abubakar Gwazange, received nine hundred thousand naira each from the government.
The Deputy Governor, who earlier visited the fire scene to sympathize with the victims, stated that the disbursement followed Governor Nasir Idris's directive.
In his remarks, the Emir of Argungu, Alhaji Samaila Muhammad Mera, represented by Kundudan Kabi, Alhaji Ibrahim Kwaido, thanked Governor Nasir Idris for his benevolence and compassion, acknowledging the Governor's developmental strides in improving the quality of life in the Argungu Emirate.
Chairman of the Market Traders Association, Argungu Local Government, Alhaji Labbo Fakon Sarki, expressed immense appreciation to Governor Nasir Idris, Deputy Governor Senator Umar Tafida, and the Emir of Argungu for bringing smiles to the victims' faces.
Speaking to journalists at the venue, Chairman of the State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA), Hon. Bello Yakubu Rilisco, stated that the cash donation's disbursement aligns with Governor Nasir Idris's welfarist policy to provide succor to the state's people under any circumstance. He appealed to beneficiaries to judiciously use the money to restart profitable business ventures.
Among the top personalities at the event were the National Organizing Secretary of the APC, Alhaji Suleiman Muhammad Argungu, Jarman Kabi, and the Commissioner for Home Affairs and Internal Security, Alhaji Sama'ila Yakubu Augie.
