Toto Local Government Area's Chairman, Honorable Aliyu Abdullahi Tashas, has been honored with the prestigious Leadership Award of Excellence in Proficiency Management, recognizing him as the most resourceful, competent, and best-performing Chairman in Northern Nigeria.
Acknowledging Tashas' accomplishments spanning security, governance, empowerment, and infrastructure, the Arewa Youth Progressive Movement (AYPM) lauded his leadership.
The Chairman's initiatives, including equitable wealth distribution across the 12 electoral wards and people-oriented policies, were commended.
AYPM presented the award, praising Tashas for his vast expertise in local government management, describing him as a renowned technocrat, exceptional LG consultant, and a mentor for youth.
This was contained in a statement issued by his Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Yahaya Idris Toto, copy made available to our correspondent, said the Executive Chairman thanked the group for finding him worthy of the award even as he said the reward would spur him to do more.
The AYPM further highlighted Tashas' office's dedication in addressing longstanding security challenges, enhancing governance, and promoting socioeconomic development, including healthcare, agriculture, education, and fostering peaceful coexistence.
In response, Hon. Tashas, via his Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Yahaya Idris Toto, expressed gratitude, affirming that the recognition would motivate him to accomplish more.
Notably, within his two-year tenure, Tashas has consistently delivered good governance, infrastructure development, and ensured peace and security in the region.
His efforts have been acknowledged through numerous awards from various organizations, including youth groups, NGOs, and women, both locally and nationally."
