A total of 412 officers and men of the Niger State Command of the Nigeria Security And Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), have been promoted by the board of the corps.
The total numbers of the promoted officers is described as the largest in the history of the state Command of the corps.
Among the promoted officers include from Assistant Supritendent of the Corps ASC, to Deputy Superintendent Of The Corps DSC, Superintendent of Corps SC, to Chief Superintendent of the Corps CSC, from Assistant Commandant of the Corps ACC and from ACC to DCC among others.
Addressing the newly promoted officers during the decorations at the command headquarters in Minna the Niger State capital, the Commandant of the corps in the state Mr. Elijah Etim Willie said their promotions was in line with their commitment and dedication to their duties in the Protection and safeguarding the critical National assets.
The commandant who spoke through a press release issued by the Public Relation officer (PRO) of the Command Nasir Abdullahi Kuta (SC) told the newly promoted officers to see their elevations as additional responsilities to spur them to be more committed to their callings in the discharge of their duties in the command.
He equally admonished them to see their new ranks as a reward for their hard work, dedication and professionalism and to use it as a tool to carry out their professional duties effectively and dilligently especially in the area of protecting critical National assets infrastructures, vandalism and intelligent gathering mechanism.
Nasir Kuta had quoted the Commandant that those that were not promoted not to feel discourage " but to be more focus and dedicated as the leadership of the corps is not unaware of their restless efforts in the discharge of their duties"
Assuring that their efforts will not in any way go unrewarded as the Command leadership under the Commandant General Ahmed Abubakar Audi is committed in ensuring that Welfares will be pursued with all vigours.
While congratulating the newly elevated officers of the Command for their new position, the state commandant directed that they should hang their new ranks immediately and also directed the area commandants and Divisional commandants as well as units commandants to decorate their promoted officers in their respective area of Jurisdiction.
Speaking on behalf of the promoted officers, Mr David Zaki, DCC appreciated the board members and the Commandant General of the corps for finding them worthy to bestow on them with their new ranks.
He assured that their new position is a call to more dedication and commitments that will spur them to leave above board in the discharge of their duties to the nation.
He appealed to the newly promoted officers not to betray the trust and responsibility already bestowed on them in the discharge of their duty by engaging in unprofessional conducts that will smear the image of the corps
