There is tension in the Niger State Ministry of Finance over alleged failure of the Commissioner, Mr. Tinau Mohammed's to give staffers their legitimate entitlements.
The commissioner is also accused of alleged underhand dealings and other malpractices.
Among the issues causing bad blood within the ministry, is non payment of allowances of casual workers engaged by the state government.
Sources said the commissioner is deliberately frustrating the matter, with the entitlements being diverted for private use.
He is also being accused of persistently blocking other staffers of the ministry access to their usual and normal benefits to his advantage.
The sources also alleged that commissioner has been servicing his godfathers with the state funds to protect his seat, while also diverting millions for his personal use.
They alleged that Tinau has been acquiring a lot of property in Abuja and other places as the tenure of the incumbent administration winds up in May.
