Nigeria at 66, Nasarawa State at 30: Former NOA Director-General, Omeri, Felicitates with Nigerians and Nasarawa Citizens
PDP Nasarawa South Senatorial Candidate Calls for Unity, Peace and Renewed Commitment to Development
Dr. Mike Omeri, former Director-General of the National Orientation Agency (NOA) and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for Nasarawa South Senatorial District, has felicitated with Nigerians and the people of Nasarawa State as Nigeria marks its 66th Independence Anniversary and Nasarawa State marks 30 years since its creation.
In a goodwill message marking the two anniversaries, Dr. Omeri described them as important milestones that provide an opportunity for citizens to reflect on Nigeria’s journey since independence and Nasarawa State’s progress since its creation in 1996.
He congratulated Nigerians on the 66th Independence Anniversary and commended the resilience, sacrifices and contributions of citizens who have continued to work towards the peace, unity and development of the nation.
The PDP candidate also congratulated the people of Nasarawa State on three decades of statehood, acknowledging the contributions of successive administrations, traditional rulers, community leaders, civil servants, youths, women and other stakeholders to the state’s development.
Omeri urged citizens to continue promoting peace, unity and peaceful coexistence across the state, stressing that Nasarawa’s progress depends on the collective responsibility of its people.
He further called for greater attention to education, healthcare, agriculture, youth empowerment, employment creation, infrastructure and other sectors capable of improving citizens’ standard of living.
According to him, the anniversaries should renew citizens’ hope and commitment to building a stronger, more peaceful and prosperous Nigeria and Nasarawa State.
He prayed for continued peace, stability and prosperity in Nigeria and Nasarawa State, while wishing citizens a memorable Independence Anniversary and statehood celebration.
