The African Democratic Congress (ADC) gubernatorial candidate in Katsina State, Senator Ahmad Babba Kaita, has expressed appreciation to his supporters and people of the state for their prayers and goodwill following his recent surgery at a foreign hospital.
Kaita, in a statement issued by the spokesman of the ABK Gubernatorial Campaign, Abubakar Ahmed, on Wednesday, said he was particularly touched by the messages of concern and prayers for his quick recovery.
The gubernatorial candidate, who recently underwent an orthopedic procedure, said the surgery was successful and that he was responding well to treatment.
He said, “I am particularly touched by your goodwill and other encouraging messages for my quick recovery.
“I wish to assure you that the orthopedic procedure went very smoothly and, in the way I responded to treatment, In Shaa Allah, I will be up and running soon.”
Kaita also expressed appreciation to the ADC for giving him the opportunity to fly the party’s gubernatorial flag in Katsina State.
He commended candidates of the party at various levels for their collective efforts towards improving the standard of living of citizens across the state.
The ADC candidate equally praised the operators of his campaign office and the Katsina State chapter of the party for their efforts in maintaining the party’s presence and structures across the state.
According to him, the ADC remains well-positioned ahead of the 2027 general elections.
He said, “As we move closer to the official kickoff of the governorship and State House of Assembly campaigns, which marks the beginning of full campaigns in the country, I remain confident that the ADC, which is the only opposition party with a full structure in place, will defeat the incumbent APC government in the 2027 election.”
Meanwhile, other ADC candidates in Katsina State have continued preparations ahead of the commencement of the 2027 election campaigns.
