This is contained in one page communique signed by Chairman of the joints Unions, Comrade Usman Shehu Suleiman and made available to Journalists in Zaria by their Public Relations Officer comrade Goma Umar Faruk on Wednesday.

Other demands listed by the Unionists are Completing 30% CONPCASS/CONTEDISS as promised, implemention of Federal  Government 25% and 35% wage allowance, to exclude Earned allowance (AEA) and other allowances from tax

The Unions also urged the Government to implement the consolidated Academic Tool Allowance (CATA) which 40% of 100% CONPCASS as well as the consolidated Non-Teaching tool allowance (CONTTA) for teaching staff which 35% of 100% as signed by representatives of the Federal Government.

The Unions said "These demands are extraction of the making of standards in the life of academic institutions generally as carefully embedded in the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) and National Commission for Colleges of Education (NCCE) which are the regulatory bodies of the Institutions.

"Therefore paying these demands is a gateway to standardizing all Institutions."
