ADC Organises Special Prayers for Nigeria, Citizens in Katsina

The Katsina State chapter of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) has organised special prayers seeking God’s mercy, protection and intervention for Nigeria and its citizens.
The prayer session, organised by the party’s State House of Assembly Aspirants/Candidates Forum, was held at the Senator Ahmad Babba Kaita Gubernatorial Campaign Office in Katsina, the state capital.
Speaking at the event, Chairman of the forum, Hon. Abdurrazak Kaita, said the organisers invited Islamic scholars who had memorised the Holy Qur’an to recite the Qur’an from beginning to end, with prayers for divine intervention in the affairs of the nation.
According to him, the Qur’anic recitation commenced in the early hours of Saturday and continued until about 5:30 p.m., when citizens from different walks of life and political parties joined the prayers.
Kaita said special prayers were offered against corruption, armed banditry and those behind it, kidnapping, poverty, as well as what he described as bad leadership across the country.
Also speaking, the spokesman to Senator Ahmad Babba Kaita’s gubernatorial campaign, Abubakar Ahmed, commended the organisers for the initiative and prayed that Allah would accept the prayers and provide lasting solutions to the hardships confronting Nigerians.
Ahmed further disclosed that Senator Ahmad Babba Kaita, who had undergone surgery abroad, had recovered and was expected to return to Nigeria to resume his political activities ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The prayer session also included prayers for the success of the ADC presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, as well as the quick recovery, safe return and electoral success of Senator Ahmad Babba Kaita and other ADC candidates contesting elective positions in the 2027 general elections.
