Mai-Doya Extends Hand of Fellowship to Other Parties, Urges Support for Obi/Kwankwasiya Movement

The leader of the Obi/Kwankwasiya Movement in Nasarawa State, Hon. Abdullahi Yakubu Mai-Doya, has extended a hand of fellowship to members and supporters of other political parties, urging them to join the movement ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Mai-Doya made the call during a stakeholders’ gathering held at his residence along Kuriqui Road in Lafia, the Nasarawa State capital.
The meeting attracted stakeholders from the NDC, NNPP and Kwankwasiya Movement, including the NDC State Secretary, State Publicity Secretary and State Treasurer, among other party leaders and supporters.
Speaking on the purpose of the gathering, Mai-Doya said the meeting was connected with the ongoing INEC upliftment campaign process, stressing the importance of unity and collective action.
He maintained that the fact that an individual did not emerge as the NDC candidate should not be regarded as the end of everything, urging members to put aside their differences and work towards a common objective.
Mai-Doya also spoke about the record of Peter Obi as former governor of Anambra State, highlighting what he described as significant changes recorded during Obi’s administration.
He appealed to all NDC members to put aside their differences and work tirelessly for the success of Obi and Kwankwaso, while extending a hand of fellowship to members and supporters of other political parties across political divides.
According to him, the movement remains open to people from different political backgrounds who share its objectives, urging them to come together and contribute to its success.
Also speaking at the gathering, the Nasarawa West Senatorial District candidate, Hon. Umar Farouk, called for unity and sustained commitment among members and supporters.
The House of Representatives candidate for Akwanga/Wamba/Nasarawa Eggon Federal Constituency, Hon. Ovey Shan, urged stakeholders to strengthen collaboration and grassroots mobilisation.
The Nasarawa South Woman Leader, Hajiya Amina Dalhat, also participated in the gathering alongside other stakeholders.
The meeting ended with a renewed commitment by the participants to strengthen cooperation and mobilisation across Nasarawa State ahead of the 2027 general elections.
