A newly deployed Divisional Police Officer,(DPO) to Maitumbi Divisional Command Aliyu Ahmed Kuta SP, has assumed office with a call to residents of the area to extend hands of cooperation to him to enhance effectivePolicing of the community.
He noted that with the support and cooperation of all the critical stakeholders in Maitumbi and its surrounding he will leave above board in ensuring the security of the residents.
SP Aliyu Kuta stated this while addressing critical stakeholders and community leaders as well as youth leaders at the Divisional Command headquarters in Maitumbi.
According to the Divisional Police Officer, Maitumbi, been a suburb of Minna the State capital and densely populated has witnessed influx of people from different parts of the country, urging residents of the community to always monitor the activities of strange movements in their midsts
He warned that the Divisional Command under his watch will not compromise in ensuring the safety of lives and property of the residents assuring that his deployment to the Divisional Command will witness a relative peace and security in the Community.
The Divisional Police Officer, called on parents and guardians in Maitumbi to call their children to avoid incurring the full wrath of his men insisting that he will not spare any child that engages in act inimical to breach of law and order in the area.
Speaking further, SP Kuta also appealed to youths in the area to always engage themselves in meaningful ventures that will keep them out of any social vices that will be detrimental to their future stating that as future leaders of the society they should steer clear from any criminal activities that will bring them before the law.
He warned criminally minded elements in the area to in their own interest steer clear from Maitumbi and its surrounding or they should turn to new leaf “ if not I will go after any of them and bring them to face the full wrath of the law”
“ Let me sound this warning to criminally minded individuals to relocate to safer places. I will make Maitumbi inhabitable for them.
“ Myself and my men are prepared to make Maitumbi and its surrounding inhabitable for them.They should in their own interest relocate to safer places or I will go after them. No kidding place for them.
“ I'm also calling on parents and guardians to always monitor their wards and children to avoid any unpleasant actions against them from my men” SP Aliyu Kuta warned
While commending the Commissioner of Police of Niger State Command CP Abdullahi Adamu Elleman for seeing worthy for deploying him to serve as DPO under his leadership, he assured that he will leave above board in reciprocating the confidence he reposed on him.
SP Ahmed Aliyu Kuta has served Niger State Police Command in various capacities. Until his recent deployment to Maitumbi as the DPO, he was the head of the CP Monitoring team and briefly served the newly created Anti Violent Crime Response Unit AVCRU of the Command.
