Again, Nasarawa's Only Female Lawmaker Empowers Constituents with Motorcycles, Cash, Farm Inputs

The member representing Nasarawa Central Constituency in the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Dr. Hajarat Danyaro Ibrahim, has distributed 15 motorcycles, 100 bags of NKP 20-10-10 fertiliser, herbicides and cash grants worth millions of naira to constituents as part of her annual empowerment programme.
The lawmaker, who is the only female member of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly and Chairman of the House Committee on Women Affairs and Social Development, also presented ₦20,000 each to 200 women as start-up capital to support small-scale businesses.
The empowerment programme, tagged "11th Segment of Constituency Empowerment Programme – TALAFIN TAFISU," was held on Saturday in Nasarawa Local Government Area.
Speaking at the event, Dr. Danyaro described the initiative as a deliberate intervention aimed at improving the living conditions of her constituents through sustainable economic empowerment.
She said the programme has become an annual platform for giving back to the people who entrusted her with the mandate to represent them.
"Today marks another historic day for Nasarawa Central Constituency as we hold the 2026 edition of TALAFIN TAFISU, the 11th in the series of this yearly constituency empowerment programme," she said.
According to her, the programme featured the distribution of 15 motorcycles, fertilisers for farmers to boost food production, herbicides and cash support for women entrepreneurs.
She noted that beyond the empowerment programme, her administration has facilitated employment opportunities and executed several developmental projects across the constituency over the past three years.
Dr. Danyaro disclosed that since assuming office, she has distributed a total of 45 motorcycles, secured employment for more than 70 people, drilled boreholes and supported interventions in the education and health sectors.
She urged beneficiaries to make proper use of the items and funds provided, warning against selling the motorcycles or diverting the assistance from its intended purpose.
The lawmaker reaffirmed her commitment to attracting more developmental projects through collaboration with the state government while calling on residents to remain peaceful, law-abiding and supportive of government programmes.
Ahead of the 2027 general elections, Dr. Danyaro appealed to her constituents to continue supporting the ruling APC and its candidates at all levels.
She specifically urged support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Governor Abdullahi Sule, Senator Ahmed Aliyu Wadada, whom she described as the best candidate for the Nasarawa governorship, as well as other APC candidates.
She stressed that peace remains the foundation of development and called on residents to sustain the prevailing harmony across the constituency.
Several dignitaries who attended the event commended the lawmaker for her consistent empowerment initiatives and developmental projects.
Among them were representatives of Senator Ahmed Aliyu Wadada, the Nasarawa State APC Chairman, the State Accountant-General, the Chairman of Nasarawa Local Government Council, the Director-General of the Nasarawa State Conditional Cash Transfer Programme, and the APC Women Leader in the state.
The speakers described Dr. Danyaro as one of the most impactful representatives the constituency has produced and urged constituents to continue supporting her and other APC candidates in the 2027 elections.
Speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries, Yahuza Adamu and Blessing Isaac expressed gratitude to the lawmaker for the intervention, praying for God's blessings upon her and pledging their continued support.
