The International Federation of Women Lawyers (FIDA), Nasarawa State Branch, has pledged its support for the forthcoming symposium being organised by the Female Law Students Association of Nasarawa State University, Keffi (NSUK).
During a courtesy visit to the FIDA State Secretariat, the President of the association, Maiwada Rashida, informed the State Coordinator of FIDA, Barr. Halima Hudu Abubakar, about the planned symposium themed: "Women, Law and Justice: Bridging Policing and Prosecution."

Rashida explained that the symposium is aimed at promoting discussions on the role of women in the justice sector, strengthening collaboration between law enforcement agencies and prosecutors, and inspiring female law students to contribute meaningfully to the administration of justice.
Responding, Barr. Halima Hudu Abubakar commended the initiative, describing the theme as timely and relevant to contemporary justice sector reforms.

She assured the students of FIDA Nasarawa's willingness to partner with the association to ensure the success of the symposium, adding that the organisation remains committed to mentoring young female lawyers and promoting the rights of women,  children and vulnerable persons. 
The FIDA State Coordinator encouraged the students to remain dedicated to academic excellence, professionalism and ethical conduct, assuring them that FIDA would continue to support initiatives that advance legal education and women's participation in the legal profession.
Other FIDA officials present during the visit included Barr. Rahmatu Doma Abdullahi, Jamila B. Musa, Rakiya Nabi Attah, Balkisu Liman, and Chief Chioma Agu Ese.
